A visual response to the Peak District under the theme of 'Sustainability'.
The images are produced while walking in the landscapes of the Peak District and the Maltese countryside. Seemingly very different landscapes joined through my mixed cultural heritage and memory.
The work lingers on the thoughts and associations of place, finding familiarity and belonging in multiple environments.
"I find myself continuously pointing my camera toward reoccurring motifs, the way sunlight falls on the land, the cycle of trees as they naturally grow and the ways in which they fall. The fragility of nature compared to its beauty and strength".
